With that being said I would like to take the time out of my day to thank the two women in my life that are actually making my fairy tale wedding come true. My mom and my big sister, Stephanie.
Without them…I would probably still be picking out my dress and picking a date! They have done it all…I’m not lucky, but blessed to have them in my life. I am so thankful that they love me the way they do. I'd like to say they have kept me from acting like this...
They've got behind the drivers’ seat and taken charge of everything. They know me SO well that I have been able to say, “Hmm…what do you think? I don’t care you pick..” to so much stuff! I’ve heard, “Hey, you’re not even going to remember this or that and you won’t even see the tiniest little detail.” The last big fuss that I remember myself making was at Hobby Lobby about the dang pew bows. About a week later I sat back and thought, “Really?! Um…I’m not even going to be looking at the dang pew bows. I’m gonna be too busy dragging dad down the isle ;) and checking out my handsome groom!”
I don’t know how I will ever repay them for everything they have done. They are in a way like David Tutera from the show on TV. I’ve described what I’ve wanted and I know that they are making it happen for us. The classy, elegant, fun, fairy tale wedding that I have been dreaming of will come true on May 14th. Of course my knight and shining armor will be there to make the moment perfect. I think that the only thing I will be missing at the wedding is a horse drawn pumpkin carriage…but who wants to take that to Jamaica?!
This Saturday is our first shower. Brandon wants to come to all of the showers…when we were doing some of the early stages of planning, a REALLY good family & church friend offered to throw us a shower for our church family! So we had the church shower in place, Stephanie was taking care of the family shower, but we wanted to have a friend shower too. However, Brandon said no “man” wants to come to a shower. He is right. So, we had heard about now-a-days couples are having “Couples Shower” So that will be on Saturday! My M.O.H. (maid of honor) Ashley McClanahan is hosting that for us! It’s going to be at the deck at Rafferty’s. Hopefully it will be pretty weather and just a fun environment to hang out with some of our closest friends and celebrate…even the guys ;)
45 days and counting….time to start taking it one deep breath at a time!
As 'David' would say 'Trust me. It's going to be everything you've ever dreamed of.' ;)
