Amanda Forbes: Tie Dye-in'

Friday night and friend and I did some tie dye shirts! It was so fun! The first thing I learned about tie dying is that I had to but my 'perfectionist' away and get out my creative side. We bought a tie dye kit, got some shirts, and made a mess! Jk...I didn't but Ashley did. Usually it's the other way around, but I was a grown up for once :)

First we rubberband{ed} our shirts up. We got on youtube and found a cute heart design and did that one first. The other shirt was just kind of random!

*NOTE: When tie dying be sure and wet the shirts first. It helps the dye spread and you don't have to as much dye as on a normal shirt.

Step two was the dye! Our kit came with green, purple, and blue.

Step three when you are done dying the shirts you stick them individually in walmart bags and let them sit over night. Once you wake up take them out of the bags {use gloves, and be careful, the dye drips!} and wash them in the washer with hot water & laundry detergent. When they're done washing, tumble dry on low or just let them air dry and wah-lah!
