Welcome Home!

Man, where I have been?! Well....

My husband is home!

Brandon left the end of September for work and is finally home. What a long/short 7 weeks it has been! We were on the same sleeping schedule, so that made things really easy. This time we had skype, which really did make a world of a difference...

We liked to compare our muscles we were working on...I always won, obviously.

And Jax always liked to say hi to his daddy. ;)

Having your man come home takes a lot of preparation! Well, for me anyways. I like to have everything done so that when he gets home there's nothing to do but enjoy each others company. So that means...laundry, cleaning, bathe our fur child, wash the sheets, prepare his meals (he eats like a horse), aaaand do my nail. It's a lot more then you would think. So, that's where I've been.

So, with my countdown complete...

Hair really soft and moisturized from DIY Olive Oil Hair Treatment...
Nails {Essie: Jazz} & Toes {Essie: Brooch the Subject} done...

Sign made...

And hung...

and all my chores done, I sat around like a high school girl waiting on the boy to call her. Tick tock, tick tock. Luckily I had my sweet mom, pestering {extremely excited} dad, and an awesome two hour Private Practice to watch the time go by!

So, laaaaate Thursday night he finally got home! The word 'excited' does not explain me driving to see him. I was thrilled. To have him wrap his arms around me again was breath taking...really. We act like teenagers on their first date when we see each other. I get all shy and we just stare at each other and giggle. Love that moment more then anything.

The one and only reason I can say I like deployments is because I get yummy sweet treats from Germany. Oh yeah! Yum.

He brought me all my favorites! The hippos...omg yum. The gummies: Cherry's, Strawberries, Sour Gummy Worms {They taste totally different then the ones here-way better}, Sour Pasta Thingys, a whole bag of mini bags of gummies, WHITE CHOCOLATE TOBERLONE {drooling over here}, and lots of other chocolate and wafer treats. Seriously? I am so glad I've been gettin it in the gym!

Friday I was lucky enough to get the day off from work :)
We spent the whole day just doing some random errands. Every fall we get new shoes...it's that time again! Brandon got the New Balanace Minimus that he's been drooling over and I was really unsure with that shoes I wanted. I told the shoe man at Finish Line my needs in a shoe and he picked out The Nike Lunarswift 3. I thought they were ugly and did not like them on the shelf. Well, I put them on and didn't want to take them. I've ran about 10 miles in them so far. Love them! Nothing like a runner getting new running shoes.

So, I've had to get back into the swing of things. I had to go from cooking for little ol me to making a feast everytime. I don't mind at all though. I love feeding Brandon's belly. Unfortunately while he was gone he uped his eating habits from 3 chicken breasts a day to four. Um...yeah. Here is an example of breakfast...

Mom made a big meal for his home coming and it was delicious!
Yum, yum! This is how we eat on cheat days!

I am so glad Brandon is home and our life is back to normal. It's the simple things in life that make me smile. Being able to text my husband, hearing him in the next room, having a helping hand when it comes to rolling the trash can down the drive way. Absence makes the heart grow fonder is such a true statement. But I'm glad the absence part is over with for the time being♥

  4. I have no idea how you do it! I meant to text you when we left the gym yesterday to tell you Kyle and I were laughing our butts off when the guy that no one likes started talking to you and your friend while y'all were on the mats, don't know if you noticed but Brandon was staring him down like a hawk! It was so funny yet precious lol.
