It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

02 December 2011

Well, it has been for a few weeks now, but we are finally done getting our bulk of our Christmas decorations! Starting off from scratch is tough, but we made it!

Brandon and I went to the Goodwill last weekend just to see if they have any Christmas stuff worth getting and they did!

You'll see this stuff thought this post...

This is my DIY table. My bittersweet worst nightmare is a blank canvas. This was a big one!

We have our tree already and it has been up for a few weeks

Not being able to find a tree topper we liked ANYWHERE, we finally broke down and decided to do the bow idea. Brandon made this. That crafty man ;)

And here are some of our knick knacks that we have set up...

In our kitchen a little Christmas Tree and a candy bowl that I turned into a Christmas piece with garland, cinnamon sticks and twince, and an ornament and pine cone!

Then we have a star platter we got at the Goodwill, not sure what we are going to do with it yet, and our Snowman Countdown!

In the living room we have...

Garland, twine, and ornaments hung from our fan.

A snowman candle holder from the Goodwill and Cinnamon oil in our oil smelly thing!

This is our table arrangement for our coffee table.
I made the tree with the twine :)

On our bookshelf we have lighted presents and garland on top
The first shelf has a incense Santa burner that Brandon brought me home from Germany! It burns Christmas Tree smelling incense and the smoke comes out of his mouth like he's smoking a pipe!
Second we have our nativity set
Third shelf a present
Fourth shelf a DIY outside light fixture I painted gold and stuck cinnamon sticks in
Last shelf another present
Beside the shelf was a DIY we got from the Goodwill. A wire frame Christmas tree that had ugly gold garland wrapped all around it with red beads. We tore the garland off and wrapped it with lights. Wah-lah!

Our TV stand has DIY garland. We bought the garland and added the lights ourself along with the little pinecones and bells.
To the right of the TV is our 3 little red glitter Christmas trees we got from Kirklands with left over wedding giftcards ;) We LOVE that store! Very dangerous.

This is what we have on our new dinning room table that Brandon constructed. Doesn't it look awesome?!

These are from back in the day. Little magnetic kissing puppies we put in our bedroom!

We still have a few little things we are working on. And the outside is also a work in process. We have our wreath up on the front door-a lovely hand me down from mom :) Not sure if we will be able to do lights on the house this year or not, but we will see!
