Disposable Camera Weekend!

16 January 2012

Ok, so how fun is this?! I've had an ap on my phone so quite so time, and finally over the weekend I figured out how to use it. I love photography aps and playing around with taking pictures and editing {hence: blog.}. So, Instagram is a fav and so is 'PicFrame'. Great ap for making collages such as this sweet one that I made Saturday morning:

Love my boys!

But, I love the Hipstmatic Ap. Not free, but I love it! The one that that I don't like about it, is that you have to take the pictures in the ap. Which stinks, because I forget the ap sometimes. Plus it's time consuming. But I found a free Hipstmatic Disposable Camera Ap a while ago and this weekend I finally used it! It is so cool! It really is like a disposable camera, because 1-You can't look at the pics until you are done {So, you better look good the first time; no retakes!} 2-You have to wait till you use up all the film and get them developed {through the ap}!

Saturday morning we woke up and ate breakfast, then we laid around for the rest of the morning! Well, I did. I watched some tv and fell back asleep while Brandon went to the gym {jealous!!} I also got some coloring time in. This is a picture of Jax. Cool huh? I even colored his one mustachio!
I took this picture & edited with Instagram.

Then we got ready for the day and went to run errands!

When we moved into our house we got our bedding from Kohls. It's Vera Wang and we were obsessed and loved it! The sheets were so soft and it looked so great in our room! Similar to this, only the white is a lighter brown.

Well then, we got a sweet WHITE puppy. He sleeps at the end of the bed and well, white+brown=gross. I tried washing the comforter and our washer isn't big enough. I'm against spending $15 one to two times a month at the dry cleaners and I am beyond SICK of spending 20+ minutes vacuuming it. And lint rolling? {Insert Game Show Buzzer} Nope! Doesn't work. So, a dream of mine has always had a bed that looks similar to this:

But white...? Really? Haha! Mom would NEVER let me have anything white. But, considering we don't have a tv in our room {Master bedroom is our place. No TV allowed.}, we don't eat or drink in our room...chances of it getting messy is slim. Not only have I always wanted white, but I've always wanted the big fluffy down comforter! They look so comfy. Like giant marshmallows ready to be pounced on!

So, we went to Target, Bed Bath and Beyond, and Kohls and came home with this!

We love it! Plus we got 800 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets! Ohhh wee. It's heavenly.

We got some Subway for lunch. His is the giant foot long, and I stuck with the kids meal. Naturally.

Then we headed to mom and dads to go to the Mennonites Store up in KY! I was pretty excited because we've never been and daddy always gets some great goodies! We split a valentines heart candy. Yum :)

Readin' on my Kindle!

Honestly, I'm not sure what I was expecting with the Minnonites. Because when we pulled up and it was an actual building I was confused. I was expecting something from out of The Little House on the Prairie..? Idk maybe a barn? I was wrong. A normal building with shelves lined with separately packaged foods!

Leaving with our goodies!

We got unsweetened coconut flakes {can't find these anywhere!}, steel cut oats, whole grain lasagna noodles, buckwheat pancake mix, flax seeds {been looking for these too!}, black raspberry jam, and chopped cilantro...how handy is that gonna be!?

Went home, changed, got ready and bundled up for a fun night with friends!
Love this scarf. :)

Got to hang out with my sweet friend Cynthia♥ & her bf!

We ate at Chili's and then came back to our house and played Battle of the Sexes. Sad to say that the boy beat us...pretty bad.
But that was only because of a lucky wild card they got!

Who is this handsome man?! ;)

Sunday morning we went to Grace. Another packed house and another awesome, awesome sermon. Hit home for me. Man, I love our church.

Went to my favorite Mexican Restaurant. Due to training I haven't been there since my birthday...August 23rd. Woah. That's dedication. I got the same thing I always get and it was just as fattening and greasy as it was since I left! But oh, so delicious.
Hello Pancho, we meet again.

We went to Walmart and got Jax a new toy. He had another pig and...killed it. So this time we got something different. A chicken that clucks {squeaks}. LOUD. But he is so happy when he's running around playing with it. And it just makes us smile!

I was trying to pinch his cheeks because he is soooo cute. But, the flash messed it up.

Last night we watched Columbiana {RENT IT MEOW}. And then we had pizza! Yum! Perfect night in on a cold winter night.

Worn out from that new chicky ;) Sweet boy.

Thankful God blessed us with another great weekend!
