Today I'm linking up with Jamie for
This Wednesday I'm loving...
that our life is finally back to normal! The beginning of last week Brandon got put on a last minute trip for work. We had zero communication for a week. Talk about a whirlwind. After he got told he was leaving we had a enough time to eat dinner and then he was gone with the blink of an eye. The joys of being an army wife!
When Brandon is gone it's always so easy to stay motivated for the gym and eat right. Every morning I was up at to the gym when it opened. On 107.5 every morning they have a 5:30 Flashback. On this particular morning it was Ice Ice Baby which reminds my whole family of my brother...he could sing every word of this song when he was little, and still can!
In the morning I always do cardio to get my body going and my blood pumping. {At the time lifting was out, because I still had stitches in my back.} When you do cardio in the morning, you're allowing your body to burn calories all day. I love the sauna after!
The Walmart check out lines tried to get my Saturday after the gym, but I dodged them and grabbed an apple. Nice try though.
I wasn't able to dodge the ice cream aisle. Why do they put the veggies RIGHT ACROSS from the ice cream? Really? Rude. I didn't even open the door...just smeared my face on the glass and told Ben & Jerry how much I miss them...
My sister showed me this shirt the other day. I NEED this.

While Brandon was gone, I finished The Hunger Games. I hated to read without him, but I couldn't wait and was pretty bored! Best. Book. Ever. He still has all of Part 3 to read, so we're going to finish it together! I'm excited to read the last part again, it was the best part of the book!
I also found China Glaze has a Hunger Games Nail Polish Line. Say whaaaa? I know, right.
This is a bible verse from one of my devotions. I loved it so much I wrote it on a sticky and it's hanging on my computer at work. :)
So...I got my hairs did. If you follow me on Instagram, you've already seen it.
I wanted to go back natural and cut the back. Unfortunately my hair has breakage. I've been trying to grow it out for the past 3 years, and it was gotten no where. The back got pretty long, but I was sick of it. So, I got 2 1/2 inches off, even up the layers, and got my roots did. I couldn't go back natural, because it's lighter then what I have now, so I would have to put blonde on, and pull it up to a light brown. Well, that's silly. Blonde=bad. I can't have blonde because of how ridiculously thick my hair is and I have to straighten it. I love it short. It feels great and looks so much better!

Jax had a tough week. Thanks to me; worst mom ever. Where is my award?
Jaxon ate an Energy Smart Light Bulb on Wednesday.
We have been leaving him out and little here and a little there, because we don't want him to be kenneled his whole life. He's only in the kennel during the day, as he's fine sleeping in our room at night. He did great as we left him out off and on. Last Wednesday I left him out and went home at lunch to check on him. He was completely fine! Before I left I look at the ceiling and said, 'God, what should I do? Should I leave him out orrr put him in the kennel?' The fact that he had been good all morning made me want to leave him out...I was going to be home in 3 hours for the night!
Walked in the door and I saw little white pieces of what I thought was plastic, from the door, where maybe he was scratching? With no time to worry about that as I had a few things to do before community group got to the house {t minus-50 minutes}. So I was getting everything ready and when I went to sweep up the plastic, I realized it was glass. Looked to the left and it trailed down the stairs from the bonus room. Walked up and there was shattered glass ALL OVER the bonus room. I realized it was the light bulb, that we keep in a basket, under the end table, to put into our floor lamp when friends come over when we need more light. When I was picking up the pieces my stomach was in knots. Brandon was gone and I wasn't exactly excited about a possible million dollar vet bill. I started crying when I saw that there was blood on once of the pieces. Terrified I called dear ol dad. He said he would probably be fine, just to watch it because the energy bulbs have mercury in them. Great.
That night he was fine, though. Ate all his food, drank all his water, and went to the bathroom as normal.
Friday morning before work I was upstairs in the bonus room eating breakfast when I noticed Jaxon digging under the couch for something. He's known for {we think purposely} shoving his toys and bones under there to get our attention so we have to get them for him. So, I got up and looked and this is what I found...
I was THRILLED! So glad he hadn't eaten that! He never really got sick. He through up a tiny bit of glass, but it didn't hurt him. Lesson learned and he is back in the kennel. :( He didn't mind though! I pulled out a treat, said 'kennel', and he trotted on in there!
He's back to normal though! :)
And being a pig, trying to eat his bone and food at the same time...
This is his serious face. Check out that 'stache on the left side! My handsome boy :)

Before Brandon gets home I like to do all the laundry, go grocery shopping, and clean the house top to bottom so we don't have to worry about any of that mess when he first gets home and we can enjoy each others company! We recently got a new bedroom suit that I blogged about here, and we are LOVING it. The king duvet cover, however... is an absolute nightmare to wash, dry, and put back on. Thanks to my OCD-ness I had to iron at least one side of it, so that it looked nice! Nightmare.
But it was all worth it, because it looks GREAT!
Whenever friends come over they are like, 'Oh. My. Gosh. Look at that bed.' Haha It is our pride and joy and it was quite the process getting it all put together, because it's not a bed in a bag set what-so-ever.
Sunday night it was so nice to sit down and have nothing to do, with all the chores done but 1 thing of laundry I got to enjoy my Desperate Housewives. One of the last episodes, might I mention :( So sad this show is ending!
The past few days have been absolutely beautiful. Highs in the 70s with the sun shinning. To be completely honest, we have had a pretty beautiful winter! Not sure what was up with the ground hog this year? This is a picture through my sunroof yesterday at lunch.
Last night we took advantage of the weather and went and got some steaks, zucchini, and sweet potatoes to grill. We actually lucked up and found some Mrs. Dash Marinade! It was so yummy!!
The difference between men and women. Look at that steak. My husband is a fatty. I love that Brandon cuts up my steak for me :) A nice tradition passed on from my daddy!
What are you loving this Wednesday? Link up!
Oh I can remember the days of trying to leave the dogs out of the kennels!!
