Baby Forbes Update-Halfway!

23 April 2013

I haven't posted any real updates about Baby Forbes and all the wonderful Pregnancy Details. Since there's that window from 36-42 weeks of pregnancy, I'm officially half way there! 19 weeks as of today.

And there's no hiding it these days. I'm officially rocking a prego belly!

I found this cute Q&A on a blog, so I stole it! I want to be able to look back and remember all the special moments from our first baby.

How far along? 19 weeks

Total weight gain: 7 lbs
Maternity clothes? Not yet. I have 1 pair of work pants and 1 pair of skinny jeans that I'm using the belly band with.
Stretch marks? Not yet, knock on wood! Slapping on that belly butter.
Sleep: Sleeping great! Getting up to pee more then I'd like, but that's part of it.
Best moment this week: It was awesome falling asleep to Brandon's hand on my belly feeling our little night owl kick.
Miss Anything? Less bathroom trips, harder workouts, and that thin mid section that keeps getting wider and wider. ;)
Movement: When I'm still I can feel the faint little kicks and wiggles.
Food cravings: Starbursts and Strawberry Lemonade, especially Fazoli's Italian Lemon Ice with Strawberry. Gimme, gimme!
Anything making you queasy or sick: Baked chicken or red meat that isn't fully cooked.
Gender: We will find out in 4 days!
Labor Signs: Lord, I hope not this early!
Symptoms: Stomach cramps, which is something I'm not used to. Lower back pains from time to time. Sleepy, sleepy, sleepy.
Belly Button in or out? In!
Wedding rings on or off? On.
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy! However, I do get the occasional mood swing.
Looking forward to: Finding out if our sweet little baby is a he or she! I am constantly telling Brandon, 'I can't wait to hold our baby.' Sometimes I get into la-la land and start thinking about what it will be like to hold our baby for the first time. I think I'm ready now at 19 weeks... I know by week 30 I'll be super antsy!

Here's Baby Forbes at 18 weeks. Sweet little face. At the ultra sound we watched baby wave and move it's mouth at us saying, 'Hi mom and dad!' We also watched baby curl up into a ball. It was incredible to see inside what all baby was doing.

Here's the two sonogram's. What a huge growth! From a little sweet pea/tadpole to a mango!

Got a good shot of the leg at our last ultrasound. Look at that thing! That looks like a leg that's ready to run with mama and do some squats with dad!

Latest Craving Must Have:
Bratwurst! Had to have them. We opted for the more healthier version which was the turkey brauts with wheat hot dog buns. Yum! But what was on top? I've had several people asking me. My brother-in-law is quite the grill master, so I might have stolen this recipe from him. ;) It's cubed velveeta cheese, green peppers, and onions, cooked on the grill in an aluminum foil wrap. Definitely not healthy, but Baby Forbes approved! Also got the Alexia Sweet Potato Waffle Fries! That hit the spot too. And I scooped up some potato salad. Haven't had that in a while...my good ol' country side coming out.

Next craving to fulfill? A donut. Yeap. One big fat glazed donut with pink icing and sprinkles.

Favorite 'Treat':
I hit the jackpot this weekend and came across the 'Fave Reds' Starburst. Hello happiness! I've found myself picking through and eating just the pinks and reds in the regular bags. So, when I saw this I knew it was meant to be!

Clothes:
Clothes have been some what of an issue. I'm definitely not the lean, mean, toned machine I was before baby. My belly is sticking out more and more these days. I have some extremely frustrating mornings when I literally fight with my closet and change 100 times. Princess Mia, minus the hair, I feel ya...

Nursery Details:
We are getting pretty excited planning the nursery. Before it was a lot of 'maybe's' but we've actually started making some decisions! The day we decided to start trying to make a Baby Forbes and extend our family we made a trip to TJ Maxx. While there we stumbled across the sweetest porcelain elephant. So, elephants it is whether it's a girl or boy! We've decided on painting the room and have a decal for the wall picked out. We've also decided on furniture...just waiting on the gender to pick out the color. Sunday afternoon we laid our day dreaming in the soon-to-be nursery. We even taped off the furniture to make sure it would all fit. Jaxon even tested out the crib for us. Approved!

Babies First Concert!
Saturday we went to River's & Spires downtown to watch Building 429 play. It was awesome! Jason Roy is the worship leader at our church when he's in town, but it was great to see him with his band performing!
