Baby Bennett Update

26 Weeks!

How far along? 26 Weeks / 6 Months

Total weight gain: Last time I checked 14 lbs.

Maternity clothes? Half and half. I love dresses in this humid heat in Tennessee!

Stretch marks? Zero! {Right now-knock on wood!}

Sleep: Same as before. I'm out by 9 and up at 5 on days I work out in the morning, 6:30ish on other days. We've switched sides of the bed to keep my shoulders from getting so sore. I just miss sleeping on my belly!

Best moment this week: A sweet dream I had about our little man. :)

Miss anything? I miss not being able to throw together a quick turkey sandwich!

Movement: Oh yeah. I can feel him stretching from one side of my belly to the other. He's got his momma's long legs! ;)

Food cravings: Chocolate milk!!! And cereal.

Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope.

Gender: Boy!
Labor Signs: None.

Symptoms: Achy back. Shortness of breath at times. Hot. So hot. I'm freezing Brandon at home.

Belly Button in or out? In.

Wedding rings on or off? On.

Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy!

Looking forward to: Registering for baby goodies and prenatal classes!

Within the past week Brandon and I have really started thinking about things that we would like to have when Bennett arrives. Registering is right around the corner and I am BEYOND thrilled!!!! We've walked through Babies R Us and Target before but that's just kinda ohhh and ahhh, but we've really started researching and deciding what we think will be best for our little man. From pack n plays and to monitors, to bottles and bibs, car seats and swings.. whew! It's a lot! I thought registering when we got married was tough, but these are decisions for someone else. Not us. Someone that isn't even here yet! I feel confident in our decisions we've made so far... I'm grateful for people who take the time to write reviews on products, that's for sure! And I'm grateful for this mother's intuition that's kicked it into high gear lately. Can't wait to get that gun and go to town. Watch out.. it could get dangerous!

Let's just talk about this one product that I have found that I think Bennett really needs.

Combi All-in-one Activity Walker - Blue GT

I laughed out loud when I saw this online. How hilarious is this?! Bennett's first car!! Can you imagine him walking around the house in this and playing tag with Jaxon and Trigger? Possibly running over our toes a time or two in the process. Obviously it's not practical to get him right now, but I'm thinking this might be a great gift from Santa. ;)

Early Monday morning I woke up with a huge smile on my face and tugging on Brandon trying to wake up him up. I had the sweetest dream of Bennett! I had a dream that he was one-ish and I was taking him to the doctor. I remember looking over him as he was laying on the table in the doctors office. Then I woke up! I've been thinking lately about how eager I am for him to get here and how September seems SO far away... Maybe this was my dream to tell me to chill out because he's going to be here and big before we know it! Now, the night before that I had a crazy dream about a tsunami wave taking down a building that we were inside of. Not sure what that was all about... Crazy prego dreams!!

Yesterday I was out shopping on my lunch break at Kohls. Yes, I am one of those who runs right to the store to spend that free $10 Kohls cash I get in the mail! So, I finally found one of those cute maxi skirts, which might as well be in the maternity section {glad it's not so I can wear after baby}, but that's not what this story is about. This story is about the fact that I had someone in public that I didn't know say, 'You and baby'. I guess now that I'm almost 7 months pregnant people can finally tell! I also had someone at work call into our department and ask Fran if I had been eating one to many donuts, or if I was pregnant. Funny!

On Tuesday I called the hospital to register for the 5 Week Prenatal Classes. The lady said ,'Have you pre-registered for delivery?' Me, 'Uhhhhhhh.... No?' Lady, 'Ok, well we will get you pre-registered for delivery and then we will call you back to schedule your classes.' 

What? I'm pre-registered to give birth? No. I thought I was just enjoying these sweet baby kicks and the pregnancy glow forever?! I haven't even thought about labor and ...do I have to? If the answer is yes, is that your final answer?! Can I phone a friend?

Ok, done being dramatic but dang! I'm almost to my third trimester! Guess it's time to get it together and start thinking about how Bennett is going to get here. I'm not really that scared, because I've been through quite a few medical procedures through out my life and have been in some pretty awful pain before, so I got this! Especially with an epidural! I think it's just the anxiousness of the all famous 'birth process'. But, I keep telling myself I'm not the first to give birth and won't be the last. And my girlfriend had TWO. So, surely I can  handle one! ;)
