Catchin' up

Time to blog, right? Way behind! However, I do have the best excuse...

BRANDON'S HOME

Eaaaarly Sunday morning Brandon rolled up in the driveway. Needless to say, it was one of the happiest times of my life. One of those moments you will never forget. This is the second time I have done this and surely not the last. You know the excitement of when you're five and you're so excited that Santa is coming? Well, multiply that by a thousand! Yes, that exciting. As soon as I saw him pull in, I ran outside and heard him say. "Maaaaanda" and I replied with, "Braaaaandooon!" and flew into his arms. We stood there hugging and holding each other not wanting to let go. Then mom and dad came outside, as they had patiently waited up with me...they exchanged hugs and mom got her famous Brandon hug that she had been waiting on! :) Then Ashley, Mark, and Michael pulled up in the drive way returning from Nashville..perfect timing! They all got out and got to greet him and welcome him home! Ashley and Mark then left and the rest of us went inside for present time! (Brandon always brings us goodies!)

I made this sign for Brandon. I took canvas fabric and fabric paint and it's been hanging up for about a week waiting for him to get home!

Here is present time! Gummy candies are my favorite so he surprised me with FOUR different types! GERMAN gummies from Germany! I haven't gotten to try all of them yet, but I wiiiiill! He also brought home chocolates and a German wine!

Here is Simba saying, "Hey...what about me?"

And here is Brandon finally giving Simba his famous belly rub. He claims that he knows the "perfect" spot of where to scratch and that they are "BFF's"

Here are the presents that Brandon got me! :)

He always wants to get me something from every deployment and something to get to remind us of the time we had apart and what we went through and where he went. Last deployment he brought me home a secret box and a little bear that had a little Iraq t-shirt on it.

This trip he brought me a little frog! It's got little jewels all over it and if you pull on his chin he opens up to his belly! Another secret compartment!

This is a German bear. I love teddy bears...I guess it's my new thing I collect. From my first trip in the hospital it's just what everyone likes to get me! So now I have 5 teddy bears that mean a lot to me, just for the fact that I have gotten them for special occasions. Anyways, this is "Hans" a German teddy bear. Brandon handed him to me and said here!! Look he is ready for a hug! He's the cutest thing... We named him Hans like a German name.

I know I am behind on blogging. The next blog will be about "The Proposal", in full detail so that 10 years from now we can go back and read it and remember every detail. Brandon and I are going to blog the proposal together. So we are waiting for things to slow down so that we can take the time to sit down and right all of the details out. So until then...
