Numb

01 June 2011

Yesterday morning I woke up to a cyst on my leg. Which, this one joined two other small ones that I've had since shortly before the wedding. Towards the afternoon I relized that I was actually having some slight pain from it. When I got home it had doubled in size. By then, it was way past doctors hours so I had to wait till the morning...

While laying in my bed waiting to fall asleep, the reality kicked in. A quick and angry cyst isn't exactly a cyst I would want. After starring at the wall for what felt like an eternity I realized tthat numbness was all I could feel. This whole process is just another day to me, truely. Brandon asked me if I ever ask why? why me? All I could say was no and that I don't want to ask God why, because obviously it is apart of his big plan for me.

Today was an unusual day. Everything started out with stress and hope and ended perfectly. Just as my God always plans.

Got up this morning SUPER early to get to the DMV by 6:45. Running late-ish as usual I got there 10 minutes early to a line wrapped around the building. REALLY?! So luckily, a name change was a quick process and I was out in an hour! {With the new snazzy TN license.} So I got to work right on time.

As soon as I got to work I started calling the doctors offices. To make a LONG story short, I had to get a referral from my new army doc to allow me to go see my surgeon. Which, I have to see. It's bad enough I am stuck with this condition, atleast let me see my own doc! So, with the help from a few friends and a sweet nurse they turned the two week process into about three hours with two trips to the hospital AND I got the refferal!

I went to see Dr. Heuman and oh ya know, surgery again. Who knew?! This would be the second OR trip this year. Cutting three cysts out. Of course, when I start getting everything together to start training for a half marathon, this would happen. All in God's plan though, I have to stay positive.

So tomorrow: 8:45 pre-op & 12:00 surgery.

Prayers are welcome! But, if you do pray, add in that my tummy will last till it's over. Nothing to eat or drink past midnight!

In other news, we have a new family member!
When I graduated High School I got a preowned Honda Accord, fully loaded. If I had one thing I could take back that I have ever done, it would be trading that in. Luckily, my dreams came true and I {we} got another one! WE love it!

I got my ring back from the jeweler today, too! Whew today was a busy day. It looks GREAT! Now I don't have to keep straightening it anymore. PLUS I got to keep the engraving inside. So glad :)

Well, off to bed. Big day tomorrow!
