The Ceremony
Our colors we picked for the wedding was green, black, and white. I wanted to keep everything as traditional as possible. Brandon's favorite color (&mine now too) is green. It was such an easy color to go with because there is so many different shades of green but they all blend well together. Also, May is prime time for the change of spring to summer and the grass and trees and all the plants were BEAUTIFUL and green! It worked our perfectly! It was simple, yet elegant and helped tie everything together.
Bridesmaids
The bridesmaids wore black strapless dresses with strappy sandals. To get the green incorporated I wanted a big bold necklace.
Groomsmen
The groomsmen stuck with the traditional tuxes. It was the black tux with black vest and tie, and had a white shirt. The green for them, was in their boutineer.
Our programs.
The giant stain glass window that was above us in the church, beautiful.
The pews in the church, wooden-just like I always dreamed of.
The Ceremony began with a short video slide show of mine and Brandon's baby pictures from when we were first born up until the two of us together now.
Then we had the lighting of the family candles by Brandon's mom
Then it was my mom's turn escorted by my brother, Michael
Then my bridesmaids and groomsmen went down the side aisles of the church, not to walk on the brides runner!
Then the precious ring bearer, Reagan
{He wanted to be a knight}
Then the sweet flower girl, Ella
{She wanted to be the princess}
Then the trumpets started and the bridal march began!
Here comes the bride!
Walking down the aisle was scary at first, but then it was fun! Glad I had my daddy with me, although I'm pretty sure he wanted to walk the other way.
Everyone said, "I'm going to look at Brandon so that I don't cry watching Amanda walk down the aisle." Not sure if that was the best plan, because I was ecstatic!
My groom and the face that I will never forget seeing.
Can't capture a moment better then this one.
Dun, dun, dun, dun!
Finally at the end of the aisle to my groom and dad kissed me goodbye!
This is one of my favorite pictures! Such a neat shot.
The wedding party.
MOH fixing my train in her fierce heels.
The lighting of our unity candle.
{We made our unity candle}
Taking the Lord's Supper
I was like, "YUM FOOD!" {I was starving} But then I realized I was extremely parched and the bread was extremely dry!
The rings
Prayer time, of course he was trying to whisper sweet nothings into my ear the whole time and had me giggling.
I now pronounce you husband and wife!
You may kiss your bride!
Officially: The Forbes!
Woo-hoo!
Party time!
And then it was time for pics...
