The Wedding-Part 1

07 June 2011

Finally, the blog you have all been waiting for! I am blogging every detail so that years from now the Mr. & I can look back and be able to cherish and remember every minute of this special day.

On May 14, 2011 I woke up in my parents house. The first thing I did was hop in the shower and start getting ready. I straightened my hair and brushed my teeth and packed my bags to get ready at the church. At 7:15 me and mom left my house and were off to the Chapel of Love!

GETTING PRETTY:
When we arrived I went straight to the room that I had picked out months ago where me and my girls would get ready. I unpacked my stuff and plugged up the Chi. Shortly after that one of my bridesmaids, Ashley Schroder, arrived! She started working on my hair. Goal for our wedding: simple. I didn't want to spend the money on having someone do my hair and make-up. I wanted my hair to be curly and thrown up! Luckily, Ashley knew exactly what I meant and the up do {my first up do ever} was perfect.

After my hair was done we all went into the bathroom and did our make-up. I did my own make-up. I really don't wear make-up that much, only when I have something special going on. So me wearing make-up at all, was a big deal!

After our make-up was done and the girls got dressed we did some final touch ups with my hair.

I was ready! All I needed next was my crown, which was my "borrowed". My boss/friend Casey let me borrow her 'crown'. I loved having a piece of her with me all day!

A few doors down the guys were getting ready.

THE DRESS:
My dress, was perfect. It was my dream dress. The dress I've always dreamed about and more! It was princess, it was fairy tale, and it was different then any wedding dress I've ever seen. I didn't want a halter dress or a sweetheart dress. I wanted a dress that was different. I found my dress online through The Knot.com. I knew it was the one. I got online and found the nearest store that sold the designer. I lucked up and found a place right outside of Nashville and on the first day of 2011 we went dress shopping! I went in on a mission, found the dress, and it was the first one I tried on. SOLD! Of course, I tried on others, but when ya know, ya know! I thought I wanted a short veil, so that you could see all of the detail on the back of the dress, BUT I am so glad I listened to mom and tried on the long one. Talk about classy! Loved it.

I had a bit of trouble getting into my dress. I wore an 'under-poof' that made the bottom of my dress even bigger. So with that, it made putting on my dress a little difficult!

Once I finally got my dress on, mom clipped my clasps and tied my belt into a bow.

I was able to pick out the Flower Girl dress. I picked it out so that it would, in a sense, match my dress! The bow that tied on the back and the buttons going down the back of the dress is what matched, and the fact that it was really big and poofy! She loved it and lots of people noticed that we matched!

Once I was finally ready me and my girls said a prayer that was led by mom.

My sweet, sweet sister {Wedding Planner} and I.

My MOH {Maid of Honor} did the final touches and put on my garter and put on my veil for me nice and tight!

After everything was done and I was complete we let dad come in and see me, while the guys and girls went off to take pictures in the church Garden. I will never in my life forget how special this moment was. I had yet to cry all morning and as soon as he walks in...there the tears came. But, he started it! Boy did he look handsome! ;)

{Yes, my dress had pockets!}

After that emotional roller coaster dad led a prayer.

After the prayer my brother, groomsman {bff growing up} came in to see me. Glad he did too! I think he might have took off while he was on stage watching me walk down the aisle.

Here we are as soon as he walked in. Just being a brother and wrinkling my veil ;)

Everyone says we look exactly alike.

Punching me. Brotherly love!

After Michael and Dad saw me they left to take pictures with the rest of the bridal party, mom and Stephanie went to greet the guests that were coming in, and there I was alone...

With my dress drapped over the table, so that it wouldn't wrinkle.

And the pouting began...

Then I was sent a little bundle of joy and entertainment. For the last 15 minutes before I walked down the aisle I spent it playing Simons Says and If you're happy and you know it. She made the time fly and I wouldn't have wanted to spend it any other way!

And then the Ceremony began...
