Mrs. Forbes 101

I've seen blogs that have 'Get To Know Me' posts, so I figure I'd do one myself! Here's to getting to know me, just a little bit better.

Amanda Michelle Sheppard Forbes!


-Born in Clarksville, TN. That's right, a true southern belle.
-Birthday {best day of the year} August 23, 1988.
-I carried the name Sheppard high and mighty with pride and even though it has been dropped it will still be apart of me. Now it's time to carry Forbes and hearing that at the end of my name makes my heart smile.
-♥I am passionate about my marriage. I don't have a husband that works 8-5, I have a husband that works for our country and works when he's told. So, the time that we do get together is special and intentional. We got married under the verses Ephesians 5: 22-25 and it is engraved on the inside of my engagement ring. We will always serve eachother.
-My family is not your ordinary family. We are close {like real close}, ENJOY spending time with each other, and does anything for anyone, anytime. My brother moved 12 hours away and it has only brought us closer.
-I go to Grace Community Church. It's in my old high school auditorium. I always have to get there early just to ensure I get a seat. {Even when we do have three services}
-I have a disease that has no cure, probably will never have a cure, and I am stuck with for the rest of my life. It's a family trait, that has been passed down to me. I will never let this disease get me down, watch.
-I have been in the hospital and had more surgeries in the past 3 years then I can count on my fingers and toes, that in result leave me with scars.
-I got MRSA from the Cumberland River summer of 2008. I was in the hospital for 7 days. I will never touch that water again.
-I get excited when I see dark clouds. It means there is rain or a storm coming, and I LOVE it.
-I like nice things, yet I like my money too, therefore I am a 'bargain shopper'.
-I love being in the water, on the water, by the water. Fish!
-I have thin nails, so I like to keep the thick gel coating on top. I like them short, with my OPI.
-I've never had braces before.
-I don't like brown paper bag brown, or golden blonde, so it has to be chocolate brown or bleach blonde. I love drastic hair.
-Since leaving the nest, I have a new thing for cooking! I LOVE food, but I love healthy food more, so experimenting is fun.
-I enjoy working out. Cardio, weights, whatever. I love it all. You can't 'force' me to do it. I like it!
-I love the feel of yoga when I'm sore. The stretching feels good on tight muscles.
-My favorite movie is How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days. It's always my 'picker-uper'.
-If you find me and Brandon out eating dinner we are either at Chili's, a Mexican restaurant, or Chinese. That means it's cheat day.
-My parents patio swing is the best place to read, hang out with fam, or take a good nap.
-Taking pictures is a must, always. Even better with my Hipstamatic ap.
-My TV shows are Grey's, Pretty Little Liars, Desperate Housewives, Bachelorette/Bachelor and BIG BROTHER!
-I'm competitive, but only when it comes to certain things.
-I enjoy working on computer, doing anything. From editing pictures to doing work documents.
-I like being the 'life of the party', just because I love having a good time and seeing everyone else have a good time. I LOVE making people smile and laugh.
-I have the worst sweet tooth and wish I could get it removed. My go to? Ice cream, cup cakes, and gummy bears.
-I have a bucket list on my iPhone. I love adding to it and removing off of it!
