So, I am finally back from the crazy-ness of my birthday weekend! {Sort of-Today is my actual bday SO the celebrations will end at mid-night!} Things definitely didn't go according the plan, however I wouldn't change anything. I had the best weekend thanks to that amazing husband of me. God has blessed me.
Friday I got off work at noon and I was off for a 3 1/2 day weekend for some bday celebrations! I went home, we loaded up the car, and we were off to the lake to spend two nights by the water with the pup!
We got a great deal on the resort on the lake that included a buffet dinner and two buffet breakfasts'. We made and got some snacks for lunch, had our bathing suits packed, water toys for the pup and everything! We were SO excited that we were finally gonna be able to take Jaxon swimming...he hasn't been yet! He was good the ride and enjoyed the scenery and the motorcylces we passed...and did a little nappin'.
Once we got there it was beautiful! The lake was so blue, compared to the disgusting scumberland. The woods, the trees...oh it was just gorgeous! We got checked in and then we walked into the room and gross. That is all I am going to say. The smell was awful...I mean yes, I understand that it's a pet room but goodness, it could have atleast not smelt that bad! There were also some other pet 'rules' that weren't going to work with us. Sad, but atleast it was only an hour away. We simply got our return, hopped in the car, and came back home.
Operation Birthday at the lake=FAIL.
But, if you know me, then you know you can not take a smile from my face.
So we went home, unpacked, went to dinner, and spent the night with some of our friends!
Then it was time for the Big Birthday Bash....
