That darn fall cold...

I love fall. I love the colors, the clothes, the weather, the food...everything! However, the one thing about fall that I absolutely dread is the 'fall cold'. Never fails. Every year I get a spring, fall, and winter cold.

Mother Nature struck again! Ugh, seriously. It all started Monday when I woke up with a really sore throat. 'Oh great...' I immediately thought. Perfect. So, needless to say with countless coughs, sighs, sneezes, and complaints through out the day, I knew it had began. By the time I got home from work I was achy all over with a headache and all congested in my head.

After I made some quick potato soup for dinner, my sweet husband drove us up to Sonic for some slushies. Perfect way to treat the sore scratchy throat. After that we ran to Walgreens to get a thermometer...gotta love the newlyweds. As I sulked in the car he went inside. He came out with this...

Believe it or not...I didn't have a fever. Sure felt like I did. So, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, I tried battling it on my own without the docs. I tried all kinds of meds, soups, lots of water, and even some long sauna sessions. Nothing worked. Friday woke up..still not feeling well, called the docs and finally got in. I have a lovely viral infection. Awesome.

They sent me on my way with tons of meds, for freeee!

Went to Walmart got some soups, tissues with lotion.

I'm here on the couch to catch up on Grey's Anatomy-all 3 hours worth and try to get better...wish me luck!

Tomorrow I really want to go to the Goodwill for their 1/2 off first day of the month Saturday sale to bargain and find some neat vintage/thrifty finds. But, I want to get there when they open at 8am. Then I had planned to go to the downtown market we have! I haven't been able to go all year and now it's fixing to be over with. Hope these medicines kick in and I can make it.
