Bonus Room = Complete!

Brandon and I live in a three bedroom house + bonus room. Up until New Years Day the bonus room was empty. We have had every room in the house complete, but this one. As it's an extra room...so it wasn't really on our list of priority. Starting out fresh is expensive and rough and we wanted to do it right. Even if we had to wait ...7 months, it was fine with us! God has blessed us in so many ways building our home. Almost all of our furniture is brand new, which is most newlywed cases, that doesn't happen. As of New Years Day our house is finally complete. There is one empty room, but no sense in filling that up when one day, later on down the road, a sweet little baby Forbes will be in there!

Like I mentioned in my post yesterday, we spent all New Years Eve shopping. Literally we shopped till be dropped. I barely made it to watch the ball drop!


Brandon had lots of time off during the Holidays and with those days off he got plenty of wifey chores done. :) While he was off he found an awesome deal on a 50" Plasma TV! Only $499. Hello! Who would pass that deal up?! Not us!

Then as we thought about and tried to figure out what we were going to do up there, we realized moving our couch from the living room to the bonus room would be the best idea. We bought it brand new in April. Now... it's a little worn, super comfy, and a perfect fit for that room. We went to Furnish 123, LOVE that place, {It's where we've gotten everything-but the dinning room table} and ordered a new couch, love seats, chase, two end tables, and a coffee table for the living room, which will now be used more like a sitting room.

Mom came over to watch the Bachelor Premiere Monday night. This is how Jaxon behaves when Grandpa is NOT around. Nice and calm and grandma gets her time to love on him.

We love this room so much! It's the perfect place to get away and just relax. When it's dark it's like an upstairs dungeon {is that possible?} Perfect place for movies, naps, friends, and everything else! We were so excited to bring in the new year in our new room.


Wednesday I had a doctors appointment, that didn't go so well. Surgery coming this Tuesday. It was nice to go home, pile up on the couch upstairs, and forget about everything. Oh, and catch up on the new PLL! Love that teeny-bopper show. ;)
