What I'm Loving Wednesday + Recipes!

It's Wednesday. Thank goodness. I was off Monday, but I'm already ready for Friday!

I'm Loving the waffle iron mom got me for my Birthday! I instantly found a protein waffle recipe and have been addicted to them. They're awesome!


Protein Waffles

Ingredients:
4 egg whites
1/2 cup low-fat cottage cheese
1/2 cup plain instant oats
1 scoop protein powder {we use vanilla ice cream}
2 packets splenda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder

Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients and mix well.
2. Cook in waffle iron according to manufacturer's directions.
3. Top with fruit and syrup!

{This recipe make 3 full waffles in my Belgian waffle iron. If you have a regular waffle iron you could probably get five-ish.}


Smoked Sausage Bowtie Bake
Ingredients:
1 box bowtie Pasta
1 pkg turkey sausage {cooked}
1/2 green pepper {chopped}
1/2 onion {chopped}
1/2 cup mozzarella cheese
1/2 can black olives {sliced}
1 jar pizza sauce

Directions:
1. Cook the pasta according to instructions.
2. Meanwhile-slice/chop vegetables & sausage
3. Combine all the ingredients {except cheese} stir together and pour into a baking dish.
4. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes.
5. Take out and top with mozzarella cheese and bake for another 15 minutes.
6. Enjoy!



 Whole Wheat Peach Cobbler
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
3/4 cup splenda
1 large can of peaches {in 100% juice}
1 1/2 cup 0% milk
3/4 stick margarine
3 tsp baking powder

Directions:
1. Preheat over to 400 degrees.
2. Place margarine in a 9'13 dish and pop into oven to melt.
3. Mix flour, splenda, and baking powder together. Add milk & stir.
4. Once margarine is melted take out of the oven and spread evenly.
5. Pour mixture into pan, then pour peaches on top.
6. Bake for 30 minutes.
7. Enjoy!
