New Years Resolutions

02 January 2013

Happy New Years!

As the new year approached I took the time to really sit down and figure out what I wanted my New Years Resolution to be. The only one I ever remember having was one that I had when I was in middle school and it was to stop drinking soda. That year it lasted until July! As a preteen, I think I did a pretty good job holding out.

This year I have 4 New Years Resolutions.

One: Don't put Jesus in a box.
Obviously I am a Christian and proud of it. I'm very strong in my faith and don't mind anyone knowing it. However, I tend to put Jesus in a box and pull him out when 1. It's convenient for me and 2. When I need him the most. I want to stop being a fan and become a true follower. I pray daily, and read a verse or two daily, and for some that's enough, but for me it's not. I want to be the follower of Jesus that is a follower and can give him more then a simple 5 minutes a day. If I can find the time to workout, clean, cook, get on social media, etc... then I can find more then 5 minutes to spend with my sweet Jesus. And this year, I will do just that.

Two: Be more intentional with my husband and marriage.
It's so easy to get caught up in life and put these two second. Sad, but so true. With both of us working full time, plus Advocare on the side, a new puppy, taking care of the house, etc, etc. It happens. Taking the time to write a little note and stick it in lunch, leave it on the counter, shoot a sweet text, set aside a special time for a date-any of those tiny things can truly make a difference. Being more intentional is definitely top notch for a resolution.

Three: Change Lives
Through Advocare Brandon and I have both found our niche. After being introduced to a healthy lifestyle and working out I realized how important it is to live that lifestyle. Thanks to Advocare I now have the tools to offer the safest supplements and vitamins on the market, along with a new DVD workout plan, and the correct nutrition plans as well! We started our journey with Advocare the end of November in 2012 and so far we have helped over 30 people get their lives back on track through Advocare and us coaching them. We're excited to enter this year helping everyone reach their goals and get the results that they've been longing for!

Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies. -1 Corinthians 6:19-20
