Baby Bennett Update + 3D Ultrasound Pictures!

11 July 2013

Baby Bennett Update!
30 Weeks!

How far along? 30 Weeks
Total weight gain: 21 lbs from the last time I checked. But we have been on vaca since. ;)
Maternity clothes? Still wearing mostly regular clothes, but definitely using the belly band and trying to live in dresses as much as possible!
Stretch marks? Zero! {Right now-knock on wood!}
Sleep: Sleeping is starting to get uncomfortable from night to night. Sometimes I sleep great and sometimes I wake up and toss and turn trying to get comfortable.
Best moment this week: Our 3D Ultrasound yesterday!
Miss anything? Being able to walk up the stairs without feeling winded. Whew!
Movement: Lots and lots. Kicks and hiccups all the time! :)
Food cravings: Currently trying to eat as clean as possible. If I could have one thing right now it would be a bowl of fruit loops!
Anything making you queasy or sick: Uncooked meat, anything smelly.
Gender: Boy.
Labor Signs: Not yet.
Symptoms: Indigestion-every afternoon! Sleepy-been enjoying an occasional 20-30 minute cat nap after work. Back pain.
Belly Button in or out? In..but barely!
Wedding rings on or off? On.
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy! But boy can I be cranky when I'm tired. Love you Brandon. :D
Looking forward to: Our make-up 3D Ultrasound next week!

Other Bennett Updates:
Head down. 3 lbs and 9 ounces. 18 inches long. The size of a head of lettuce. I remember when he was just a sweet pea! After seeing the 3D ultrasound it looks like he's got my little nose. :) And some major chubby cheeks. That might be from the pizza and ice cream.. but that's ok. More to pinch and kiss!
He's gaining 1/2 a pound a week. Expected to be 7 1/2 lbs - 8 lbs when he's born. His brain is working over time and developing faster than ever. He can now perceive information from all five senses!
What's he doing in there? Making faces, yawning, hiccuping, swallowing, breathing, pedaling with his little hands and feet, and even sucking his thumb!

Our 3D Ultrasound

Yesterday we had our 3D Ultrasound. We have been waiting so patiently to sweet our little man in our 3D. We knew that it was going to be the day that we could see him for the first time. It. Was. Incredible! Even though it was in the sepia tone, we actually got to see what his sweet little face looked like! Even even got to see a foot and his hands!

Unfortunately, the entire time he was turned at a not-so-good angle. The cord was wrapped up all around his face. And he kept his hands in front of his face. There's no way he's camera shy considering who his mom and dad are... On the way there I drank a spark and ate some berries! I was sure that would get him up and moving. Which, he was moving, just not the way we needed him to. Luckily, the ultrasound tech was so understand, and is letting us come back next week and try again! I was told to grab a slushy on the way to the apt. I think I can arrange that. ;)

Here are some of the images we received.

Excited to hopefully see some better images next week!
