Baby Bennett Update
37 Weeks!
How far along? 37 Weeks! Oh my goodness.
Total weight gain: Meant to ask and I totally forgot. Got caught up in the labor and delivery talk! Between this last weeks appointment and this week I lost a lb. Which is normal for this time during pregnancy.
Maternity clothes? Sometimes!
Stretch marks? A few, but nothing crazy.
Sleep: Thanks to tylonal pm, I'm sleeping like a baby!
Best moment this week: Tuesday's doctors visit. We got to see him for one last time during an ultrasound!
Miss anything? The feeling after a good long hard run.
Movement: Tons. Not so much of the jabbing anymore, just him rolling around in there since it's getting so cramped!
Food cravings: Dairy.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nothing this week...
Gender: Boy!
Labor Signs: I'm having braxton hicks, I'm 1 cm dilated, and he's dropped!
Symptoms: Sciatic nerve back pain, crampy legs, lots of pressure, tons and tons of bathroom trips a day, and indigestion.
Belly Button in or out? In. This thing is not coming out!
Wedding rings on or off? On.
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy! {Even though Brandon said I need to rethink this answer next time I blog about it. Rude...}
Looking forward to: Next weeks appointment!
Other Bennett Updates:
Monday night was a horrible night of sleep. Tuesday morning I woke up not feeling good at all. My back was killing me, I was so exhausted, Bennett was so cramped up and I had a ton of pressure going on. Throughout the day my stomach was super crampy. When I went to the doctor that afternoon I told her that it just wasn't a good day. I didn't get any sleep, etc. She asked if I had been having any braxton hicks contractions and I said no...not that I knew of. Well, when she went to check his heart beat she felt on my stomach and said, 'You're having one right now...' I hadn't even noticed! Oh! So that's what that crampy feeling was. She continued to then tell me that I've dropped and she checked me and I'm 1 cm. Woo hoo! Let's get this show on the road!
We've been weighing our options on waiting for my water to break or scheduling to be induced. We found out that my water would have to magically break on the 13th or 19th for me to have Dr. Johnston deliver me. So, that pretty much made up our mind. We are 100% comfortable and confident with our decision that as long as everything looks good and the doctor approves, we will be scheduling to be induced on the 13th. Yes, I am aware... It's Friday the 13th. And that means nothing. Just another day! And it sounds like a great day to have a baby if you ask me!
As far as me not being able to sleep well. I blame it on #1 my sciatic nerve pain. It's miserable. Having my body straight KILLS my lower back and the pain runs down to the top of my leg. Also can't sleep because I have this big belly. And because I'm constantly up using the bathroom. My doctor approved tylonal pm! It just has a little bit of benedryl in it. I woke up Wednesday morning after the best night of sleep I had gotten in what felt like a century. I had sheet wrinkles on my skin, my hair was a hot mess, and I felt like a new woman! I only got up once in the middle of the night. I could kiss whoever made tylonal pm pregnant safe!

So, my bags are mostly packed. I have 1 or 2 more items to slip in there. But this is my ready to go corner!
My laptop sits a lot farther away then it normally does...
All his clothes are washed and ready!
For Bennett's Laundry Detergent we use Cheer Free & Gentle.
Michael and Kristina brought Bennett's Baby Shower gift!
It's a gift that's ready to be used when we take him to visit them in Daytona at the beach!
Stuff to make a sand castle, sunscreen, beach towns, and gowns!
And this cute onesie and a hooded beach towel!!
The nursery is basically ready to go. I cleaned it last night since we've gotten everything situated. We have just a few more things to do. We need to touch up some spots on the paint, buy a few baskets for the bookshelf, I have two pillows I need to make, and I have a verse that I want to somehow DIY something and get it put up on a shelf. Other then that {which those things aren't mandatory for his arrival}, his room and his things are ready for him!
