When Brandon and I found out that we were expecting we took videos of when we told everyone. We wanted to capture the moment {The facial expressions, the comments, the excitement} and turn it into a small movie so that we will always have it to look back on. I've finally had the time to figure out the technology end of things and get it all together!
We got these two onesies at the Baby Gap to give to my parents. It was January 11th when we got them, so I'm assuming these were left over from Christmas. They were perfect! We wrapped them up and called my parents, told them we wanted to go to dinner with them, as Brandon was leaving for deployment soon, and we found a Christmas gift that we forgot to give them. Oops! ;) We had them unwrap them at the exact same time and that was a special moment that I will never forget. Seeing their reaction was absolutely priceless.
For my sister we did the same thing, we told her that we found a gift that we forgot to give her for Christmas. Hehe. So we met her at my parents house and gave her these two UT outfits. They are HUGE UT fans, so I knew this was the way I wanted to surprise her! Even though, I had been talking to her for months about Brandon and I trying to have a baby, she was still clueless. ;)
We told my brother and his fiance via skype. Michael and I always tell stupid knock knock jokes, so we skyped him and said, 'Knock Knock' 'Who's there?' 'We're pregnant!!!' Unfortunately skype kept messing up, but we eventually got it across, and it was still a huge surprise!
Brandon's family lives out of town, so we told all of them over the phone.
The way we told my grandparents was with pacifiers. I brought them each a pack of pacifiers and asked them if they would 'hold onto them for me, because I'm going to need them soon.'
The way I told my close girlfriends, was with coasters! I love making coasters as gifts because they're so easy to make, practical for use, and inexpensive! With each coaster I titled them 'Aunt' and their name.
