April 27, 2013 we had Bennett's Gender Reveal Party.
We decided to do a gender reveal party, as we wanted to have all of our closest friends and family there to find out and celebrate with us! We went to the ultrasound, closed our eyes, and got the details sealed in an envelope. No one but our doctor, the ultra sound tech, and our family cake-making friend knew! It was so exciting! Brandon can still tell you that to this day, he was tortured for 10 days, waiting to find out. At first he didn't want to wait, but that's because he is horrible at surprises, but in the end he was SO glad that we waited to find out with everyone together!
Here are all of the details and pictures from the party. We picked out the 'What Will It Bee' theme. As, obviously, it's very gender neutral. I loved the ideas of little honey bees!
We had popcorn, pinwheels, and cupcakes.
The Beehive Gender Reveal Cake!
The cake and cupcakes had these sweet little bees on them!

Please Vote! Is our little honey a he or she?
We had the guests vote whether they thought Baby Forbes was a he or she. We also had mustaches and lips to choose from to wear!
Goodie bags for stopping by!
We were so excited to find out what our baby will be!
Papa and Nana! Eager to find out what their grandbaby will be.
My sweet sister. Lord knows she helps hold this crazy family together and keeps us organized. ;) So grateful for her!
Here we go ready to slice open the cake! Blue or pink, blue or pink?!
You can see my iPhone in this picture to the right held by one of my besties...that's my brother and his fiance on Facetime from Daytona waiting to find out!
Cutting into it!!
Aaaaand here's our reaction!
It was BLUE!
You can see that extremely excited 'OH YEAH' facial expression from Brandon about finding out that there's going to be a mini-him running around! My dad, mom, and sister's faces also as priceless. And mine was a 'YAY! I knew it!'
Brandon ran off screaming and yelling, and might had let a few tears slide out as he was so excited! Brandi gave Michael and Kristina a close up look.
And then he came back to celebrate!
(Flying knife-glad I didn't getcha Brandi!)
So excited. It's a boy!
We had our cake decorater frame the picture that shows proof of what it was. We got to see for the first time what we would have saw at the ultrasound.

Holly does almost all of my graphic design for me when it comes to parties and she is wonderful to work with! She's done quite a few things for me now. The Gender Reveal Printables were made by her! Check out her Facebook page here: Holly Winchell Creative
