How far along? 39 Weeks! Today is our last day! 276 days of pregnancy: DONE!
Total weight gain throughout the pregnancy: 29 lbs.
Maternity clothes? Sometimes.
Stretch marks? A few on the inside of my thigh.
Sleep: Sleeping okay. It feels like Christmas time and I'm too excited to sleep! But once I'm out, I'm out!
Best moment this week: Having that final doctors appointment!
Miss anything? Sleeping on my belly.
Movement: They say fetal movement slows down at the end of pregnancy... not this one. He's squirming 24/7 it seems like!
Food cravings: Cereal.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nothing this week.
Gender: Boy!
Labor Signs: 100% effaced, a 'loose' 1 cm dilated, back cramps, lots of pressure, contractions.
Symptoms: Back pain.
Belly Button in or out? In.
Wedding rings on or off? On.
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy, happy, happy!
Looking forward to: Tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow!!! I'm so excited for tomorrow!
Tomorrow is the big day. I check into the hospital at 6:00am to be induced. I'm so excited!
So, what do we do on our last day before we have a little one running around?
Wake up at 3:00, 3:30, 4:00, 5:30 because it's like Christmas morning and you just can't sleep.
Then I woke up at 7 for good.
Brandon wanted to make sure that I do absolutely nothing and relax as much as I can, so Cracker Barrel gets delivered! Breakfast in bed!
Then I printed off some crock pot recipes and casserole recipes and made up a grocery list for my mother in law to go shopping for us when we get home from the hospital! :)
Then while I got ready and went to the hospital to get my blood work for tomorrow, Brandon got Jax and Triggers nails trimmed.
We grabbed some lunch. Submarina! Have you had one of their chocolate chip cookies? Need to!
I'll be ending the day with a 4:00 hair appointment. No, I'm not getting my hair 'done'. Ha! Getting my roots touched up and my hairs cut short again! My hairstylist stays completely booked up and since Bennett's due date is the 17th, I didn't think that when I scheduled it 8 weeks ago {yeah, my roots looks real good} that it would be the day before we get induced! But hey, that gives me a full 6 weeks with great looking hair. I just need Bennett to at least stay put until 7:00ish.
Tonight we're gonna eat a yummy dinner, pick up a blizzard {my favorite!}, and then try and get some sleep tonight. Ha! Don't see that happening. ;)
Other then that I'm cherishing all these special moments.
Like seeing 3 boys piled on the bed. Soon it will be four.

Sitting around doing nothing with nothing to do. Riding in the car alone. Enjoying this final day of pregnancy. From all those bathroom trips through out the day while I'm getting in my water. The sweet and precious baby hiccups, kicks, and squirms that only last for the short . Proudly walking with my gut stuck out. {Never in my life been so proud to have a big ol belly!} Taking in the last moments of waddling, only being able to sleep on my sides, sciatic nerve back pain. I will definitely miss having a place to sit my cereal bowl and having place to prop my hands and arms when I'm sitting back at my desk at work. ;)
A few days ago my mom shared this video with me. I know what's be going on in my body. I've been keeping up with my What To Expect Ap. I've read a few books. We've been to the Prenatal Classes. But after watching this video, it just really hit home. There's a baby boy that's been growing inside of me for the last 276 days! Check it out...
Cheers {with chocolate milk, because that's what he likes} to the last day of pregnancy. I am beyond ecstatic for tomorrow. Nervous, yes.. but at the end of the day when I get our sweet little bundle of joy in my arms and can kiss those sweet chubby cheeks that I've been staring at through a glass in a picture frame on my night stand is going to out weigh any nervousness or fear I have for what tomorrow will bring.
Congrats! So excited for you and can't wait to see pics of your precious baby boy!
ReplyDeleteGood luck Amanda! Praying for a safe delivery and a healthy baby Bennett! Praying that Brandon will be the support you need him to be (though I'm sure he'll be fabulous!), and praying God's perfect hand on all the doctors and nurses delivering Bennett!
