Valentines Day

Today is Valentines Day. In my eyes, you either love it or you hate. I love it. What's not to love? Chocolate, flowers, candy, stuffed animals, sweet cards... To me Valentines Day is a special day to celebrate love, whether you have one or not.

This year Valentines Day is different for me for many reasons:
-I have a Valentine that will always be my Valentine
-It's mine and Brandon's first Valentines
-It's my last Valentines Day that I'll be a "Sheppard"
-My Valentine isn't here

As soon as we decided that we were going to get married, we decided to start pinching pennies and not spend any money. To save save save as much as possible. We didn't do Christmas, New Years, and wasn't going to do Valentines Day. However, about 10:00 flowers and balloons were sitting on my desk. That's what made them so special, because they were a surprise...I really didn't expect them. They were beautiful. We made a plan to squish all the holiday's together and celebrate them in one day when he gets home. Fine with me! :)

I got home from the gym tonight and mom had a Valentines present-as she always does. I know that I am always her special Valentine! Cinderella and her Prince-A "Fairytale Wedding" She knew better to get me candy, I mean hello...I got a wedding dress to fit into!



I hadn't really worried much about today, just because Brandon is on the other side of the world...should have known he would find some way to make it special. I love that man. Oh-another reason today is special...3 months from today I'll officially be a Forbes! Exciting!
