Savin' the dough!

01 July 2011

Yesterday after work I had some odd and end things to pick up for the house. Where did I go? The Dollar General! Man, they have some pretty neat things. Granted, somethings you do have to watch, just because of quality, but I got a lot of great things! My favorite buy?

My new lunch bag!

I also got, a brush to clean with, a pot holder, a new hot pink plastic basket to keep my make up in {I'm OCD and like for everything to have it's place!}, toothpicks, tennis balls for Jax, little square plastic containers to help keep the junk drawer somewhat organized, and some dry erase markers.

After a little thrifty shopping I came home to spend time with my Jax. I baked some chicken and had some black beans as a side. After dinner we watched Mrs. Doubtfire and wrote up some more thank you cards. 77 stamped and going in the mail today! More to do, but that's a big accomplishment!

Jax helped me out

I recently came across a wedding picture that I fell in love with and forgot I even had!

I love it because it's a picture I took with my iPhone. It's obviously not a glamour shot. At this point we were wore out from the LONG day we had, we had been rained on, and we had cried. We were officially married and on our way to our home as newlyweds.
This, was one of the happiest moments! ♥

Today marks a big day for me. I am officially DONE packing my wounds! Now I am using a special seaweed dressing and this stuff is a miracle! It helps the last process of the wound closing SO much! I am so glad to say that I can finally hit the gym! I plan on running sometime this weekend at the greenway and getting back into my routine on Tuesday. {Actually getting a 3 day weekend! ;)} Before this last surgery I had set a new goal for running and started planning my routine on training for the first 1/2 marathon that Clarksville is hosting. Due to the fact that I haven't ran since beginning of June, I have a little bit of catching up to do. Last night I sat on the couch and looked at my routines. First I am going to start with training back up to a 5k and then I will start training for the 1/2. I'm so excited and come the end of October I can't wait to say that I've accomplished my goal! Anyone want to join me? I'd love to have a training buddy &/or share a couple pointers! I'm not a pro, but over the last year I've learned quite a bit about fitness. Can't wait to get the definition back in my arms and legs and be able to wake up and go out for a nice long run. Nothing feels better!

My verse today? Might have seen it on my Facebook page.
Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. 1 Peter 5:8

Dang, if that doesn't smack you in the face, I don't know what will!
