Yesterday after work I didn't have time to work out or get a run in, but that's ok because I did it in the morning! When I got home Brandon had the grill going with chicken breasts, and zuchinni cooking! Yum! We ate our dinner and were off to the movies.
We picked up mom and went to see The Help and it was AMAZING! The best thing about going on a Tuesday night is they have 'Stimulus Tuesday' at the Carmike theater in the mall. $1 popcorn and $1 drink!
I wish I would have read the book, if I find a chance to slow down, I am definitely going to try! I love movies that are set in another time...it was so fun looking at the hair do's, their outfits, old cars...etc. It was also heart breaking to see how 'the help' was treated back in the day. It's so hard for me to wrap my mind around that.. Times sure have changed. Awesome movie, go see it! While we were waiting for the movie to begin we realized they were a lot of elderly women in the theater. One of which was trying to get up on Brandon... jk ;) Brandon said, "Really, this was pretty close to their time." Not as a 'you're old' joke. Just sayin'!
We were finally able to find Jaxon some new bowls! From where? Wal-Mart. I know...believe it or not they had some cute ones and they aren't broke yet. Look at him, all legs. He looks like a deer!
Here is Jaxon saying good morning!
This morning I left early for a run and when I got back home, Brandon was already off to work for his morning 'work out'...football. Hmm.. Anyways, when I got home I got all ready for work and right before I left I noticed how Charlie {our first child} was placed on the bed. Out of all the stuffed animals ever received he is the prized possession that gets to stay on the bed. Whenever Brandon makes the bed {I know-having an OCD hubs is great!} he likes to place Charlie perfectly...today he chose this and when I saw it, I died laughing!
This morning Casey and I went to the OSC {Officer's Spouses Club} on post for Super Sign Up day! We brought our Jenkins and Wynne sign, our Women At The Wheel sign, some goodies and were ready to spread the word!
We made great conversation and planted many seeds. Mission Accomplished! I was in shock with how many people mentioned how they saw us on the billboards and TV and how awesome they thought the site was and what a great idea it is! Of course, if I was a women in a new area and didn't know anyone...I would be lost when it comes to anything automotive. But for as long as I have been driving I've had my dad a phone call and a few miles away, so I've never really worried about a thing! I'm so glad we were able to reach out to some of the women that are just a few short miles from the dealership. The owl was walking around...didn't quit figure out who he/she was or what they represented but I got my pic with it!
Today is a special day, because it is my dear old dad's bday! Dad's always said all the pretty people were born in August. I mean, of course I believe it. My birthday's next Tuesday! ;)
Happy Birthday Daddy!
Day 1 of my life-Daddy's Girl. Always have been, always will be!
My dad is the king of silly. If you have ever met him or maybe even talked to him for a short bit, you would know that. He is who I get my ADHD from. Thanks dad! No really, I love it.
He was there on my special day, of course.
He was there to be just as nervous as I am and hold my hand as he walked my down the aisle.
He's stepped into my Brandon's life and been there for him like no one else ever had been.
I know for a fact that if it wasn't for me and my brother, daddy would still be 'rocking', well trying to anyways, high top sneakers and a comb over. Good thing we talked some sense into him! He is the rock and backbone of our family, along with the comedian. I love, more then anything, that I can count on him forever. Love you daddy!
