Promotion!

That sweet husband of mine did it again. Not only did he get TWO awards in ONE week, but he also got a promotion! Humble, I am. But seriously...Beginning to sort of feel as if it was never coming and nothing was ever good enough to make it, it finally paid off. I am beyond excited for him and can't stop telling him how proud I am of him.

So when I found that out yesterday morning, I started planning a surprise immediately. We were already having plans to have a big dinner with the family, so really all I had to do was sneak in some decorations a cake and wah-lah!

So, I called WalMart, asked for the bakery, and asked to have a cake done by 2 that afternoon. {Ha} I explained to the lady that I wanted it to say; 'Congratulations You Big Dummy.' There was a pause...and then she went on to tell me about how WalMart is a family store and she can't write that. Really? Anyways, sent mom out to Kroger and the only cakes they had, had roses on them. Sooo, by then I was at Walmart, found a cake, and found the lady I talked to. I told her that my husband was getting promoted, it is a simple inside joke, and it's not going to 'hurt' anyone's feelings. She had to call and get a managers approval all for 'You Big Dummy'. Geez Louise. Of course the manager was like, 'Seriously, you are wasting my time over this?' JK Idk what the manager said, but she did say ok. So I got the cake it said exactly what I wanted to and it was perfect!


So, when we got home we played with Jax and then got ready. Brandon was confused as to why I wasn't just wearing my normal PJ get up and I actually had descent clothes on. After I got ready I looked at him and he was wearing aqua colored swimming trunks {his comfy go to-beach boy ;)} and a drive one shirt, which is navy and lime green. I said, 'So do you want to change?' And he said 'No, why are you wearing that? Let's go..' So, then I said, 'Welllllllll, I think you probably WANT to change, though.' And he did :) So, then he knew something was up, so I blind folded him...

PS. Finally braided the bang. It worked! I have a too much hair, for real.

So, we drove around and drove around and drove around...and I got him lost, finally. But as soon as we arrived to moms he cheated. Party pooper...

Surprise!

On my lunch break I was able to get the cake, get the decorations, AND get it all decorated in an hour. How bout that. He was so excited and I'm so glad we got to celebrate.

I am so proud of him. I got news today that I get to go and 'pin' him on Monday. We didn't think it was going to work out that I could, but great news came and I do get to. I love sharing special moments with my Brandon. I love nothing more then seeing him smile and being the one that put it there.


Tonight we're going to this fancy place called The Melting Pot. Never been, but we got the reservations booked and I got my dress and heels all ready to go. Can't wait! Fondue? Yes please!!
