Adventure Science Center

16 February 2012

Saturday, February 11th Brandon surprised me with a day date to Nashville. I was so excited!

We got up, ate some breakfast, ran a few errands, and hit the road!

Trip up there.. and of course we busted out some Mad Libs!

And I was so excited when we got there!!!

So everything in the Science Center is kind of broke off into little sections. So, they had a little kids area. We went there...

Oh ya know, just doing some excavating like my dad.

Fun stuff!

Ok..as soon as we walked into this section of the Science Center we both said in a high pitch voice: 'Braiiiiinstoooorm, Maaaagiiic!'

If you have no idea what I'm talking about watch this video.

Have you seen it? Hilarious, right? My brother showed it to me. It has 15.3 million hits. 15 million of those, are from me watching over, and over...and over.

They had little lab coats for the kids! But, they didn't fit me. :( I still wore it though! Here are some X-Rays I took of my foot, just to be sure it was still doing ok.

Then we went to the music section. I played the guitar.

And we played the piano!

Then they had a little Dinosaur Section. Isn't he cute? I want one!

Other fun things:
-They also had a back bone that we climbed up to get into the top of the thing.
-Then we got to form a water tornado through thing vortex water thingy.
-We also go to stand in front of a camera and it showed us our hot spots! Like what parts of our body was blue {cold} and what parts were warm {hot}.
-We walked through a start tunnel, it was pitch black.
-We got to see facts and things about the solar system and watch how the earth spins around the sun.
-We helped this chick ride her bike by pushing the buttons and using the appropriate leg muscles.
-We did a simulator! First time ever and I was terrified like a giant baby. We were in a helicopter and had to shoot at people, but Brandon just wanted us to hang upside down the whole time. I was laughing hysterically though :)
-We went into the Planetarium and watched a show about, 'The Sky Lights of Africa' Brandon fell asleep...and I was like la la la. The show was ok. We missed the one about Forces of Nature. That one would have been awesome!

When we got home, we hit up Redbox, Papa Johns, and the couch with our boy and had a great night in! We watched 50/50. That was the best movie we had seen in a long time! True story, too! Crazy!
