This Wednesday I'm loving...
...that yesterday Brandon and I got to spend our first Valentines Day together! Last year he was over there playing in the dessert, so it was a long distance celebration.
We started the day by getting up early enough to cook breakfast and eat together. For breakfast we had whole wheat french toast, made mostly with egg whites. It was so yummy!
Then after breakfast we exchanged Valentines :)
I wanted to go first because I was so excited for Brandon's gift that I made him. It was an idea I saw on Pinterest and it's 'The ABC's of our Love'. Each card had a letter on it, A-Z. And of course I got him his favorite peanut butter truffles from my sister!
Brandon, surprised me as usual with some great gifts. That he didn't have to...
First I got a super sweet card, a cuddly cutie chocolate man that is obviously fist pumpin' away with his glasses on! Three Disney Princess rings and the bottom of the bag was full of sweet tart conversation hearts, yum!
Then he told me to close my eyes and he pulled out this little frog thing. When I opened my eyes there he sat on the coffee table. I smiled and blushed and said, 'Who's that?' I opened it up and he had a big green candy ring and more sweet tarts. And at that point, that was all the presents I was getting!
Then he said, 'Ok, so there is another present in the room.' And I was like, 'Ohhhhh...' all smiles, obviously. He said, 'You have to find it.' So we played the hot and cold game and behind the pillow on the couch was a Pandora bag!
He got me the double wrap bracelet I've been wanting with the Everlasting Love charm.
He did good, yes!
Of course Jaxon got a Valentines as well...it was a dog treat heart that said Hug Me!
Cliche mirror pic. My outfit of choice. I was brave and wore heels, oops don't tell my doc. But come on, I only had to walk from the car to the table and back. We got front row parking!
Thanks to Kate over at The Small Things Blog I had a pretty fab hair do!
I did the tutorial Loose and to the side. I don't care how crazy I looked with my laptop on the bathroom counter. It got the job done right?

Of course mine isn't that 'messy' looking, because my hairs kinda short. Boo!
This was before we left for dinner♥
We chose PF Changs for dinner because 1 we had a gift card from Christmas {thanks Joanne!} & 2 we hadn't been there since the night we got married. When we got to PF Changs we had some of the best service we've had in a while. I am a customer service snob, and love good service, especially because I'm paying for. A bad waiter, can ruin an entire meal. So we had reservations at 7:30 and got there right at that time. They gave us a buzzer thing and told us it would be about a 15 minute wait. So we walked to the bar, grabbed a glass or wine for me, and Brandon a Mojito and about 15 minutes later the buzzer went off. The wait was expected, especially since it was Valentines Day! Once we got to our table, we had the fastest service ever. The waitress was great, everything came out super fast, and the manager came by and apologized for the wait and gave us a free appetizer card! How cool is that? Like I said, great service!
Of course we got the lettuce wraps. Brandon introduced me to them when we went the last time. Yum!
Then for the main course he chose the Mongolian Beef and I got the Changs Spicy Chicken and we shared! And ...we ate it all. ;)
Valentines 2012!
I was so grateful and blessed that Brandon was home this year for Valentines. I am a lucky girl! :)
