What I'm Loving Wednesday!

22 February 2012

It's Wednesday and I'm linking up with Jamie for

This Wednesday I'm loving...

This sweet thing!
Jaxon: 'Mooooooooooom' 'Mom' 'Moooom'
Me: 'OMG WHAT?!'
Jaxon: 'I pushed my toy under here, can you grab it for me?'

I'm loving this color Fran let me borrow! And it matches me protein shake. I'm such a girl, whatev.
Essie: Sand Tropez

I'm loving making new recipes.
I made one last night that Brandon absolutely loved. He asked me what it was called and I said idk...the cleaning out the pantry casserole? And he was like shut up, seriously...where did you get the recipe? And I was like um...I didn't. I literally just added a bunch of stuff together!

French Chicken Pasta

Ingredients:
1 pkg whole wheat rigatoni
4 chicken breasts {cubed}
2 broccoli florets
1 yellow pepper
1/2 onion {chopped}
1 jar cheesy alfredo
1 can cream of mushroom
1 pkg french onion soup
splash of milk

Directions:
1. Boil the noodles and chicken
2. Stir in the rest of the ingredients
3. Cook on medium for about 5 minutes
4. Spoon into LARGE casserole dish and bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes

It was different, but really good, and made a LOT. Enjoy!

I'm loving that Jenkins and Wynne raised over 200 poptarts for the APSU BCM and will be able to reach over 100 students! It was my idea to do the drive and I'm so glad it went over so well! We will be doing it again in the summer. Can't wait!

I'm loving this candy that Brandon got me for Valentines. It's the sweet tart hearts and I am addicted. I can't put them down! Luckily, they're almost gone. ;)

I'm loving that my surgeon was able to squeeze me in this morning. Monday morning I woke up with two new cysts. I was like, 'Meh, whatev. They are small and will go away.' Wrong-o. Over night they ballooned out of control. I woke up yesterday in the, 'I'm a tough guy and I'll just stick it through' act. Well, I can't. I put hot compresses on them last night and nothing helped. The one on my back is out of control. I'm in a lot of pain, I didn't get any sleep last night. Miserable. I rarely ever let these things get me down, due to the fast that HS is something that I will be living with for the rest of my life. So, what's the point of being miserable, just smile and push through. The fact that I've been out of running since Thanksgiving and have been out of the swimming laps since the middle of January is annoying, to say the least. When working out is my only true hobby and something that I enjoy doing, and it's taken away from me, it's really does affect so much. Mentally, physically, emotionally. Blah! So, with that being said...the reason I am so upset this time is that I am finally back in the gym, and now I have to have more surgery, which means more recovery time and no gym. Depressing.

I told my doc that I'm sick of being put to sleep, so he said that we can do an in office procedure tomorrow at 3:00. Which means, I get to take a happy pill, he sticks me and numbs me, and he cuts me right there, packs me up, and I'm sent on my way. I am so thankful that Brandon will be there to hold my hand, because even though I may be numb, the numbing shot is the worst. So, surgery # ....who's counting? I lost count in 08.

Now that I'm done whining about it I can say, I'm loving that tomorrow I'm getting everything taken care of and that I have a surgeon with some extremely gifted hands!

I'm also loving that I have so many supporting friends and family.

I got a verse today from a sweet friend and said she would specifically be praying this over me: 'My presence will go with you and I will give you rest.' Exodus 33:14 That one is perfect. I can not forget that Brandon will be holding one hand, and Jesus can hold the other :)

I'm loving that yesterday I swam for the first time in over a month. I jumped right in and swam a mile {66 laps} in 32 minutes. My best time is 29, so 32 is not too shabby considering I've been out for a while! It was amazing. I kicked and pushed off the side of the pool and my foot is feeling great!
