Today I'm linking up with Sarah for
Apparently the only thing I decided to document this weekend is food. Don't judge, I'm pregnant.
Thursday morning we got up and made some awesome breakfast!
Whole wheat banana pancakes with turkey bacon. Yum!
After breakfast we took off to Nashville. It was gross outside. Rainy, stormy, muddy, wet, yuck. So, we spend the day inside Opry Mills shopping. Went to my first maternity store. Bought some belly bands. Not needing them yet, but I've heard they are a money saver when it comes to being pregnant!
Always eat at TGI Friday's at Opry Mills. I've missed this view across the table!
Thanks to this wonderful sinus/allergies/cold whatever this pain in the neck was that decided to sweep in for our four day weekend I walked around with a box of tissues and a red nose the whole weekend. For dinner Brandon took me to Panera for my first experience ever. We had big kids grilled cheese and chicken noodle soup for my funk. Yum! Definitely need to go there for breakfast one day!
Got some good Redbox movie and snuggle time in with the boys. Through Redbox over the weekend we watched, Chasing Mavericks and Playing for Keeps. Both awesome movies! Definitely worth a buck!
Friday we spent the afternoon at the movies and doing some baby stuff looking.
Got to pull out my bright colored spring pants and sandals. Yay for warm weather!
I've been dying to see the Oz The Great & Powerful movie. I had been waiting for Brandon to get home so we could go see it together. Luckily it was still in theaters so we went to see it Friday afternoon in 3D.
3D Glasses! Doesn't Brandon look like the old man from Up? Kidding!
The movie was awesome! Super long...but really good! It was a prequel to The Wizard of Oz. Which totally makes my outlook on The Wizard of Oz a little different. Good stuff.
After the movies we went to dun, dun, dun... Babies R Us! That is a new world and uncharted territories for both of us! Obviously we can't do any buying yet. But omg. There is so much stuff. And poor Brandon... he has no clue about anything, like me. But it's time to buckle up and learn!
Friday night we had some burgers that Brandon made and patted out off the grill with sweet potato fries! Darn pregnancy belly/taste buds. I can't ever tell what is going to be good and what might make my stomach turn. Unfortunately half way through the burger Baby Forbes decided it wasn't tasting too good. :( Even though I know it really was!
I love the mornings that we wake up, look at each other, and know that we're both thinking it's a Cracker Barrel kinda morning. I always love to try their pancake specials. This time it's the mixed berries. And the Twinings Earl Grey is my fave. I couldn't help but stare at that pot and sing the song. You know what song...
Saturday we went to the Nashville West Shopping Center. LOVE it there! They have so much. Marshall, Ross, Dicks, and a SUPER TARGET! Obsessed. Biggest Target I've ever been to. And it only takes 32 minutes to get there from our house. Definitely not going to our Target anymore. Boring! We've picked out some Nursery Furniture there that we REALLY like. I was hoping that a bigger Target would have it and they did! It was awesome to see it in person and got to test out the glider. Fun stuff! And we went to Marshalls and found some awesome new lamps for the house and a grilling skillet. Successful trip!
Sunday after church we got together with a sweet couple from our community group and enjoyed the beautiful weather and did some cooking out! Love, love, love this awesome weather.
We had a great four day weekend. Sad it's over.. but so grateful we had the time off to spend with each other. Thankful he is finally home and we're back in our regular routines.
Woohoo for food! Can't blame you there! Also, love that y'all are I Can't Believe It's Not Butter spray users. I think it tastes fabulous and works well as a butter substitute!
