First off, if you haven't seen this Nail Salon You Tube Clip from Anjelah Johnson, watch now and laugh. If you have seen it, watch it again... you know you want to!
I literally, out loud, gasped and said, 'SHUT UP!'
Whether you have thick beautiful nails, or stupid ones that chip like mine, that is serious! 7 days!
I went to Walmart and got Sally Hansen Double Duty before we went on vacation to Virginia Beach to give it a test run. I was even more thrilled when I got to the counter and it was only $3.94. Yes please! Tuesday night before vacation I painted my nails. I saw my first tiny chip on Sunday afternoon while unpacking once we had gotten home. I bragged to mom, as she has the same problem and she said, 'Well you've been on vacation.. you haven't been doing anything!' So, I had to prove to her that I believe in this stuff and that it is real! Right? So, Sunday afternoon I painted them, and again.. it lasted for almost a week. Which is a record in my book and I'm so pleased with it!
Here's what I used...
Turquoise & Caicos
Extremely obsessed with this color right now. Can't get away from it!
1 coat of Sally Hansen for base coat
2 coats Essie Turquoise & Caicos
1 coat of Sally Hansen for top coat
1 coat of Seche Vite 'Dry Fast Top Coat'
I added the Seche Vite on top because the Sally Hansen as a top coat, after drying for up to 10 minutes, felt very sticky and still wet. I've been using the Seche Vite top coat for a while. I love it. It gives a nice thick clear shiny top coat coverage.
Cheers to beautiful nails, girls! And if you try this.. let me know what you think!
I'm on week three and still loving!
Ok, Ok! I'll try it ;)
ReplyDeleteWill have to try it out!!
ReplyDeleteI didn't think to use a separate top coat! Genius! I also found that the final top coat of SH is a little thick, but last night I repainted and just made sure to wipe off the excess, and found that I don't really NEED to do it as thick as the salons do...in fact, my nails dried faster and look better! Either way - glad you found the product as great as I do! And for less than $4?! Heck yes! :)
