What I'm Loving Wednesday! {+ Nursery Update!}

07 August 2013

Yay for Wednesday!
Today I'm linking up with Jamie for

I'm loving the book that we've been studying through out the summer in a women's small group I joined for the summer. This book is so amazing. I've blogged about it a few times before I'm sure. The first time I read this book I couldn't get enough of it, which is why I'm now doing a complete study on it. This is one of those books that's good to pick up once a year for a refresher course. Whether you're single, dating, engaged, newlywed, been married for 30 years-this book is for you! It's incredible.
This is a recent piece that I read out of it the other day. It was worth rereading over and over and when I read it I just had to say a big loud AMEN! after it. I was actually falling asleep as I read over this part and it definitely woke me up!
'It's time to stop talking about the ruins of relationship and start praying for the passion and wisdom to start rebuilding.When this life is over, let's be remembered as women who refused to allow bitterness, blame, and others' bad actions to stop us from laying a foundation of unconditional love for the next generation.'

I'm loving that Saturday Brandon and I got up early and went around through our neighborhood yard sale. We got some great finds! Plus we got to meet some new neighbors. We have a pretty big neighborhood, but only had a few participate. We went by one house and this lady GAVE us all of these clothes!!! {Minus one that I bought from another house} They're all 18m -2T. Nothing wrong with getting clothes that are a little big, because according to my recent measures he'll be wearing these in no time! Plus, did I mention they were FREE? So grateful for giving neighbors! I love the little orange shirt that has a porkipine on the front...it says, 'Hug Me!' The white shirt that has a monkey on it says, 'This little monkey is one!' And the green shorts say, 'Wake at your own risk.' Such cute stuff!

Found this at another house for a buck! It's a little fold up changing pad.

Also found myself two high waisted skirts and a scarf. Obviously can't wear them right now, but at a $1 a piece, I couldn't pass them up! They'll be great for next summer. :)

I'm loving that I finally got a cupcake for my 'something from the bakery' craving I had going on. A red velvet cupcake with cream cheese icing on top and in the middle. Bonus points for the hubs for picking out an awesome choice! I'm also loving my nail polish choice from last week. Essie: Penny Talk.

I'm loving these two boys. {Excuse the bed-it was sheet washin' day!} Trigger has finally caught on to why Jaxon loves to look outside all the time. Bird watchin'!

I'm loving that our family baby shower is so soon! Got around to making a DIY banner Monday night for it. Can't wait to see what it's going to look like all finished!

I'm loving that this weekend is AdvoCare Success School! Texas here we come! In February I went to school by myself, as Brandon was deployed, but this time we get to go together. I'm SO excited!

-Nursery Update-

Several weeks ago we ordered a tree decal for the nursery off of Etsy. I didn't read the fine print {oops} that talked about how it can take up to two weeks to get it, as they have to print, cut, and ship it. Well, last Friday we got it and had to put it up ASAP! We were so excited! It took a while as the tree it's self came in 4 separate pieces and then each leaf had to be applied individually. Uh.. didn't read that fine print either. BUT it was so worth every second. It looks amazing! When I got online to read up on it a little more it mentioned that the stickers are eco-friendly. Which means, when our little monster gets old enough and curious enough and starts peeling them off and eating them-it's okay! And it came with several extra leaves for back up. We were really back and forth on this item for the nursery, especially because it was not cheap, but I'm so glad we got it. Worth every penny!

Here's the finished product!

We also hadn't made up our mind on the glider. The one that matched our bedding got recalled as soon as we went to register for it, so it left us in a pickle. We went to Walmart over the weekend and look at their gliders. They had this Storkcraft that we picked up. It's perfect! The wood is a little bit darker, but you can't even tell once we got it together and up in the room. It's perfect. It's comfy, fits the room, and glides so smooth. Can't wait to rock our sweet baby to sleep in it!

Now.. where's that baby?!
