Lookin' Like Christmas At The Forbes

20 December 2013

Who doesn't love this time of year? I love Christmas. Decorating, the smells, the food, the one-time-of-year sweet treats, the Christmas music everywhere, and my most favorite thing is the family time that we get during the Holidays. Having my brother and his wifey come into town is definitely the most exciting thing!

Thanksgiving night we put up the Christmas tree and finished decorating that weekend. The tree is just as gorgeous as it was last year. There's something about just the light of the Christmas tree being on in the house.

Every year we like to get a new ornament for the tree in remembrance of another year that God has given us. This year we looked and looked and just couldn't find anything. I actually made our ornament for this year. It was simple: 1 clear bulb, 1 picture, and ribbon. Easy enough.
Side note: If you try this at home, you may or may not have to go through a few trials runs, possibly break a few, and need a tooth pick to wiggle the picture around.

We found the perfect stocking for Bennett! Along with the perfect ornament. His nursery is in Elephants so we thought this was fitting.

We followed tradition and decorated the tree while watching Elf and drinking hot chocolate. I just laughed and laughed the whole time as I do every year. Is that not the best movie? Yes. Jaxon apparently thought that I pulled out the tree skirt for him to snuggle up and take a nap on.

This is Bennett's little Christmas Tree in his room. He loves to look at the lights.

A little SPARK cinder by the Christmas Tree on an icy winter day.

Our front porch this year. Just a touch of Christmas. Our neighbors on the other hand...

This is a video we took over at mom's house once she got all of her Christmas decorations up. Do you see what I see?

Nana got Bennett an Elf on the Shelf that he can play with!

Nana also got Bennett some Christmas onesies. Ain't this saying the truth!

Aunt Stephanie got Bennett these Christmas PJ's. Tummy time with my little Ho Ho Ho butt.

Auntie Fran got Bennett this sweet Santa Bib!

All decked out! Little cutie. ;)

Tonight we are going to see Santa. We are so excited. Boog's first visit with Santa. Let's see how it goes!
